Culture of Pursuit

Culture of Pursuit | Philippians 3v1-14

The church should be a place of passion and radical pursuit. A community of people who have given up on the empty promises of money, sex, and power and help one another pursue the only hope that matters.

Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. - Philippians 3v12

What does it mean to be a culture of pursuit?

  • We are, first of all, taken hold of. We are caused. A Christian is caused by the radical pursuit of God’s love.

  • Secondly, we result in a people of radical pursuit. We were taken hold of; therefore, we take hold. Our pursuit is the result of Christ's pursuit.

  • Finally, we help one another along this radical pursuit. We can not do this alone. We need one another.
