Refugee Sunday

What is Refugee Sunday? More than 11 million Syrians have been forced from their homes by a brutal civil war. And Syria accounts for only 1/5 of the number worldwide. Through the organization World Vision, a movement of churches across the U.S. are integrating the current refugee crisis into their weekend services to help the millions of child refugees fleeing violence in Syria.  What Is the Refugee Responder Pledge? The Refugee Responder pledge is the best way individuals can personally support child refugees. Refugee Responder is a monthly donation that brings ongoing support to refugees living in unimaginable conditions. Refugee Responders give a monthly gift of $29 to help refugees and internally displaced people with life-saving essentials like food, clean water, emergency supplies, healthcare, and more. They’ll also help provide access to education and Child-Friendly Spaces for traumatized children. From across the world, Refugee Responders can show God’s love and give refuge to the most vulnerable children and families in the world. Gateway will have Refugee Responder packets available at the info desk on Sunday, October 23rd.
